Kirsten Wakefield (BAppSc (SpPath), MSPA has spent her time in recent years establishing Talk-Time Speech Pathology within Sydney Paediatrics, a growing multidisciplinary clinic with Paediatricians, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Early Childhood Nurses, Paediatric Physiotherapists and Dieticians. Kirsten has worked extensively as part of a multidisciplinary team designed to support children who have been recently diagnosed with Autism, or those who are undertaking an intensive therapy block in order to determine an accurate diagnosis. Kirsten has worked within schools and preschools across southern and northern Sydney as both a therapist and a consultant, presenting on topics from School Readiness through to Early Language Milestones. Kirsten’s clinical interests including early language development, school age literacy, working with children with Autism and speech sound development.
Danielle Kim (BAppSc (SpPath), MECh), MSPA has worked extensively in a variety of educational settings which include preschools and primary schools throughout Sydney. Passionate about early intervention, Danielle completed a Master of Early Childhood at Macquarie University in 2011.
In her previous roles, Danielle has been a Clinical Educator for the Discipline of Speech Pathology at the University of Sydney. She has also shared her knowledge and experience as a consultant for KU Northern Sydney SCAN (Supporting Children with Additional Needs), presenting on numerous occasions to Early Childhood Professionals on topics such as supporting children’s communication development and inclusive practice. Danielle’s clinical interests are school-aged literacy, autism and early speech and language development.
Sarah Her has completed her masters degree in Speech Pathology at the University of Auckland. Since then she has worked in an educational setting, assessing and treating school aged children with speech, language and literacy difficulties. Sarah works at the Hurstville office supporting children from early intervention through to school age. Sarah's clinical interests are speech development, stuttering, and early language development.
